Introduction
High-voltage transformers for microwave ovens are special magnetic flux leakage transformers. There are three windings in the high-voltage transformer. One of the primary windings, AC 220V mains voltage is applied in this winding; two are independent secondary windings; that is, the output AC filament voltage winding of 3.3V and high voltage winding with output AC about 2100V. Between the primary winding and the secondary winding, a plurality of silicon steel sheets of a certain thickness are inserted to form a magnetic shunt with a high magnetic resistance gap in the transformer.
Effect
When the magnetron is operating, the oscillating current flows in the secondary high-voltage winding of the transformer, causing magnetic saturation in the core near it. Assuming that the magnetron anode voltage rises and the anode current increases due to mains fluctuations, etc., the transformer secondary winding current also increases, making the magnetic saturation deeper and the leakage flux increasing, which makes the transformer secondary high voltage The drop.
